Mushroom-rich Pasta

(With garlic bread)

This is a very simple recipe

 

Ingredients :

Assorted pasta shapes

1 tin of 400g chopped tomatoes

Chestnut mushrooms

A few fresh black olives

1 Red onion

1 Garlic bread baguette (Lidl sell an amazing baguette for 22p)

Step 1  - Boil the pasta shapes in a saucepan.

Step 2  - Cook the garlic baguette as per the instructions.

Step 3  - Slice the chestnut mushrooms and red onion.

Step 4  - Fry the red onion in extra virgin olive oil.

Step 5  - Add the sliced chestnut mushrooms with the onions and cook for a couple of minutes.

Step 6  - Add the tin of chopped tomatoes into the saucepan with onions and mushrooms.

Step 7  - Drain the pasta once its soft and stir in the sauce.

Step 8  - Serve the pasta with half a garlic baguette per person.
